The Hippodrome Theatre is located on Eutaw Street in downtown Baltimore. It first opened in Baltimore in the 1910s, as a venue for movies and vaudeville performances. Following its most recent rennovation, it reopened in 2004 as a venue for touring Broadway shows and other performing arts programming. The Prairie Home Companion radio show was broadcast here with a live audience in late 2007.
The renovated Hippodrome Theatre is a part of the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center along with the attached M&T Bank Pavilion.
